Filthy surroundings make beautiful SWaCH Pune’ wall art in Bavdhan look ugly

A beautiful wall art of ‘Swach Pune’ in Shinde Nagar of the Bavdhan Gaothan area looks ugly as the drainage water flows out on the road due to an illegal drainage line collection of a eatery in Shinde Commercial complex. The information and photographs shared by a Bavdhan resident Krishnan C S reveals that the authorities are paying no attention to the cleanliness of this area.

As per the pictures, the sewage water is running down the wall blemishing the art initiated by the area corporator, Alpana Varpe.

Krishnan C S while informing Pune Pulse suggested that he has time and again tried to co-operate with the concerned stall owner, but has shown no intent in resolving the mess.

Krishnan C S also complained that most of the shops in Bavdhan area do not have a grit drainage, due to which sludge is formed.

Upon talking with Alpana Varpe, the area corporator, she said, “I will ask PMC authorities to take an action on him if he does not resolve the pipeline issue. I assure you that within no time this negligence will be taken to task.”
