Final Round for Class 11 Admissions Begins, Merit List on September 24
Pune: The 6th and final special round for Class 11 admissions for the 2024-25 academic year has started. Students can choose their preferred colleges from today and must complete the selection process by September 21. The merit list for this round will be announced on September 24. Since this is the last special round, securing admission is mandatory for students.
So far, 269,971 students have confirmed their admissions through three regular and five special rounds, but over 29,000 students are still waiting for seats. Despite 90% of registered students securing admission, more than 100,000 seats remain unfilled. Students with an ATKT concession are also eligible to apply in this round.
The education department has announced that after the 6th special round, the daily merit round (DMR) will begin, with the schedule to be posted on the official website. The DMR will be held daily, similar to the first priority round, which was suspended last year due to issues in the admission process.
Currently, 1,727 colleges in the Amravati, Mumbai, Nagpur, Nashik, and Pune divisions are offering admissions. Out of the 627,670 available seats, 493,904 students have registered, leaving 133,766 students unregistered. There are still 220,692 vacant seats for Class 11 admissions across the state.
