Fire breaks out at shop near Dhanori Jakatnaka; no casualties reported

Pune: A massive fire engulfed a scrap shop near Dhanori, Jakat naka during the wee hours on Tuesday.

Speaking to Pune Pulse, Subhash Jadhav, Fire Officer, Pune Municipal Corporation said, “On 17th October i.e. Tuesday at 4:38 a.m., a fire broke out at a shop near Dhanori Jakatnaka having a significant collection of scrap. As soon as we received the information, along with 2 fire vehicles & 1 water tanker,  we immediately reached the spot & started dousing the fire.”

As per information shared by Jadhav, the entire fire was doused in around 20 minutes. Cooling of the entire place was done in around 1 hour. No one was injured in the incident.

In this entire operation, along with fire officer Subhash Jagtap, 10 fire personnel of the fire department helped in dousing the fire.
