On 25th February (Sunday), a fire broke out inside J S Motor Godown near Keshav Nagar School in Chinchwad.

As per further information shared by Gautam Ingawale, PCMC Fire Officer, a person called Bhushan Sapkal reported the fire incident via call at 8:37 am at JS Motor Godown, near Keshav Nagar School, Chinchwad in the control room of Pimpri Chinchwad Fire Brigade’s main fire station at Pimpri.

As soon as the information was received, 2 fire vehicles from the main fire station were sent alongwith one fire vehicle each from Chikhali, Bhosari, Thergaon. 

It took approximately 1 hour and 15 minutes to bring the fire under control. There was no loss of life and no one was injured in the fire. 4 two-wheelers, 1 tempo, 1 Tata Nexon car and 1 JCB, total 7 vehicles, and a large PVC pipe got burnt, causing a total loss of Rs 50 to 60 lakh.

A total of six fire vehicles from 5 fire stations worked to bring the fire under control.

PCMC Fire Officers & Employees Rushikant Chipade, Dilip Gaikwad, Gautam Ingawale, Chandrasekhar Ghule, Somnath Sukhdev, Vishal Pote, Amol Chiplunkar, Namdev Waghe, Vilas Patil, Nikhil Gogavale, Pundalik Bhootapalle etc participated in the operation.
