Regional airline FLY91 officially launched its Goa–Solapur–Goa flight service on Monday, June 9, marking a major milestone in regional air connectivity for Maharashtra. The inaugural flight from Solapur to Goa was ceremoniously flagged off by Union Minister of State for Civil Aviation and Co-operation, Murlidhar Mohol, along with other dignitaries at Solapur Airport.

“With the arrival of FLY91’s inaugural flight from Goa, Solapur is now on India’s aviation map,” said Minister Mohol at the launch event. “This new air route will significantly benefit pilgrims, business travellers, and tourists visiting Solapur.”

The new FLY91 Goa–Solapur–Goa route will operate four times a week — on Monday, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday — offering much-needed air travel access to a city previously underserved in commercial aviation.

FLY91 now connects eight cities across India, including four in Maharashtra: Pune, Jalgaon, Sindhudurg, and Solapur. The airline is rapidly expanding its regional footprint with plans to launch direct flights from Nanded to Goa and Bengaluru in July 2025.

Calling it a “historic day” for Solapur, local leader Gore praised the collaborative efforts that made the airport and this new route a reality. “The very first flight from Goa landed earlier today, and now Goa acts as a new gateway to national and international destinations for Solapur residents,” he noted.

FLY91 CEO and MD Manoj Chacko added, “This route bridges two culturally and economically vibrant regions. It will support tourism, spiritual travel, and business connectivity. At FLY91, our mission is to strengthen India’s regional air network, and Solapur plays a vital role in that vision.”

With this latest route, FLY91 continues its commitment to enhancing air travel accessibility in tier-2 and tier-3 cities across India.
