Ganesh Chaturthi falls on September 7, 2024, and this piece is packed with important details like timings, offerings, and the immersion ceremony.

This festival celebrates the birth of Lord Ganesh, who is revered as the god of wisdom, prosperity, and good fortune. The festivities, known as Ganeshotsav, last for ten days and wrap up on Anant Chaturdashi, which is also known as Ganesh Visarjan day.

Hindus around the world, especially in India, celebrate this vibrant festival with great enthusiasm and devotion. To make the most of Ganesh Chaturthi, it’s essential to know the key details like pooja timings, the date for visarjan, and what bhog to prepare.

We all know that Ganesha is celebrated during the Shukla Paksha of the Bhadrapada month.

To ensure a smooth celebration, followers should check the auspicious timings, local puja schedules, and what offerings to bring for Lord Ganesh.

For Ganesh Chaturthi 2024, the best time for celebrations is between 11:03 am and 1:34 pm on September 7, according to Drik Panchang.

Here are the puja timings for a few cities:

In Hindu timekeeping, the day is split into five parts: Pratahkala, Sangava, Madhyahna, Aparahna, and Sayankal. The best time to perform Ganapati Sthapana and Ganapati Puja is during the Madhyahna phase, as it’s considered the prime time for Ganesha Puja according to Vedic astrology.
