Gemini Park Avenue residents take initiative to create senior citizens park in the neighborhood

The program was attended by the residents of the neighbouring societies as well as saw presence of Pramod Bhangire Prabhag 26 Nibm Kausarbaugh Mohamadwadi as a chief guest. 

Anandvan Parisar Residents Forum members held a discussion with local Corporator of Prabhag 26 Pramod Bhangire over a wide range of issues from the neighborhood in the society’s clubhouse. 

Residents of Gemini Park, Ganga Florentina, Raheja Vista Phase 3, Ganga Kingston and other residents of the neighbouring societies were present who raised a lot of issues in the meeting. 

The meeting saw discussion on topics such as inadequate water supply, lack of regular cleanliness of roads, increasing menace caused by youngsters near Ganga Kingston and Ganga Florentina and Raheja Vista Premiere, need of speed breakers to control speeding vehicles, installing high masts and CCTV surveillance systems, etc. 

Atique Pathan, a resident of Gemini Park Avenue complained, “Youngsters causing menace, inadequate water supply, bikers nuisance alongwith riding speedily, bikers making a lot of nuisance, garden near our societies, etc were some of the problems which were discussed with Pramod Bhangire.” 

Nitin Bokey from Anandvan Parisar Residents Forum stated that bikers causing nuisance, controlling the menace caused by youngsters,  adequate water supply are some of our key needs which were raised with  Bhangire. 
Another resident of the area, Tara Singh, chairman, Imperial Towers suggested that installing CCTV surveillance system would be an ideal solution to the menace caused by youngsters. 

Pramod Bhangire, local Corporator, Prabhag 26 while answering to all the queries raised by the residents assured that requirement of a open gym, installing CCTV surveillance system and high masts would be fulfilled within 15 days period. Speaking on water supply issue, he said Ramtekdi water tank which is of 90 lakh litre capacity used to supply water to our areas. The water supply from this tank is insufficient now owing to the development. But to resolve the issue of water supply PMC built two tanks of 30 lakh litres near Dorabjee Paradise. But this supply will reach to us only after 8 months due to the technical issues where the project is stuck. But the demand of footpath from Elina Living to Raheja Chowk, cleanliness, CCTV, garden development, drainage issues can be all resolved immediately. 

Audrey Lawrence, a resident of Gemini Park Avenue said, “We don’t feel secured once it gets dark. Youngsters in a group drive speedily. Speed breakers will resolve the speeding issues. But constant patrolling by police will definitely make a big difference.” 

The residents took the initiative of getting the open plot cleaned. Pramod Bhangire has assured that shortly a garden would be created for the residents of the area. Residents have vowed that they would nurture trees planted in the area.
