Pimple Saudagar’s Connectivity Boost: MP Barne Secures Metro Extension and Infrastructure Projects

MP Srirang Appa Barne, representing the Maha Yuti in the Maval Lok Sabha constituency, has announced the plan to extend the Metro facility to Pimple Saudagar, which was initially excluded from the project’s first phase. However, with his relentless efforts, it has now been included, marking a significant transformation for the Pimple Saudagar area. Barne expressed optimism regarding the area’s dynamic development, especially with the impending passage of the Metro route from Wakad to Chakan through Pimple Saudagar. This expansion is poised to enhance connectivity and spur economic growth in the region, ushering in a new era of progress and prosperity.

A meeting was convened at Hotel Shivar Garden to rally support for the Shiv Sena-BJP-NCP-MNS-RPI-RSP and other allied parties’ grand alliance candidate MP Shrirang Barne, drawing participation from office-bearers of various housing societies in the Pimple Saudagar area. Notable attendees included former opposition leaders Vitthal and Nana Kate, as well as former standing committee chairman Prashant Shitole. During the gathering, MP Barne highlighted the significant transformation witnessed in the Pimple Saudagar area, attributed to substantial funding allocated under the Smart City project by the Central government. Looking ahead, Barne announced plans for the commencement of Metro services along the route from Wakad to Chakan in the next phase, anticipating the extension of Metro facilities to enhance connectivity and mobility within the locality.

A significant infrastructure project is set to unfold in the Dehu roadKatraj bypass road, with plans underway for the construction of an eight and a half-kilometre long flyover between Dehu road and Balewadi. Estimated to be built at a cost of Rs 6,600 crore, this initiative aims to alleviate traffic congestion in areas such as Kiwale, Ravet, Punawale, and Wakad, as highlighted by Barne. Additionally, Barne provided insights into various development endeavors undertaken within the constituency over the past decade. Nana Kate urged support for Srirang Barane, citing the importance of securing Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s continued leadership. Echoing sentiments of progress, Prashant Shitole expressed confidence in Barane’s ability to secure a significant mandate, attributing this optimism to his track record of development initiatives.
