Pune: Chandrakant Patil, the guardian minister of Pune held a total of nine meetings at the council hall on Monday.

He reviewed the projects happening on the stretches from Ambedkar Chowk Warje to Mahatma Colony road, Eklavya College to Mumbai-Pune road, Balbharti to Paud Phata road, and Panchvati to Pashan Sutardara road.

As per sources, the minister has instructed all the hurdles in land acquisition to be removed and solution to be reached through consensus. He was quoted as saying that the projects being implemented for the convenience of the people should be accelerated.  The length of the roads on which the projects are happening are estimated to be around 1,800m.

“The 30-meter road from Ambedkar Chowk to Gopinath Nagar, Kothrud is about 1,800 meters. The current condition of this road is steep and largely level. Therefore, the process of reporting a new comprehensive project is underway. After the completion of this road, the traffic congestion on the national highway will be eased,” said Patil.

Eklavya College to Pune Mumbai service road is 15 m wide. The length of the road is 250 m from Shantiban Chowk to Eklavya College and 360 m from Eklavya College to the Pune-Mumbai service road, totalling 610 m.

“Out of this length, the total developed road length is around 540 metres. The process of acquisition of land is underway. With the development of this road, the traffic congestion in Chandni Chowk will be reduced and it will be convenient for the residents of this road to go to the Pune Mumbai service road instead of using the private road near Pramthesh Society,” added Patil.
