Handewadi traffic division takes action against reckless drivers at Kad Nagar chowk in Undri 

The Pune Traffic Police’s Handewadi traffic division today morning between 9 AM to 1 PM held a drive against motorists and bikers violating the motor vehicle driving rules.  

The police recovered more than Rs 13, 000 from a total of 20 offenders in various traffic rules violation related crimes. The police took action against using cellphones while driving, not wearing seat belts, tinted glass, improper number plate, bullet silencer, triple seat, etc.The Police educated the motorists to drive carefully and follow the traffic rules. 

Balaji Salunkhe, assistant police inspector, Handewadi traffic division, Pune City Traffic Police said, “The action taken today was mostly to discipline the motorists. There are many who still don’t wear belts while driving cars or big vehicles, speak on cellphones while driving, and use improper number plates. Rules are made for the safety of the drivers. I urge motorists to drive carefully and follow the rules.” 

As per further information, following is the list of offences, number of offenders & the amount recovered from 3 policemen 

Ø  Tinted Glass – Rs 500 Fine for 1 Offender

Ø  Talking on Mobile While Driving – Rs 1000 Fine for 1 Offender

Ø  Bullet Silencer – Rs 1000 Fine for 1 Offender

Total Action Taken – 7 offenders have paid their fine worth Rs 4000. 2 offenders have not paid a fine worth Rs 1200. There are 9 Offenders with a total fine of Rs 5200.

·         Mike 1:

Ø  Bullet Silencer – Rs 1000 Fine for 1 Offender

Ø  Number Plate – Rs 500 Fine for 1 Offender

Ø  Talking on Mobile While Driving – Rs 1000 Fine for 1 Offender

Ø  Triple Seat – Rs 1000 Fine for 1 Offender

Ø  Seat Belt Not Worn – Rs 200 Fine for 1 Offender

Total Action Taken – 2 offenders have paid their fine worth Rs 1500. 3 offenders have not paid a fine worth Rs 2200.

·         Police Havaldar Tekawale:

Ø  Silencer – Rs 3000 Fine

Ø  Number Plate – Rs 1000 Fine

Ø  Seat Belt Not Worn – Rs 400 Fine

Total Action Taken – 2 Offenders have paid their fine worth Rs 1000. 4 offenders have not paid a fine worth Rs 3400.

The total number of offenders are 20 & the total amount of fine is Rs 13,300.
