Maharashtra | February 10: The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a heatwave alert for Maharashtra, warning of a sharp rise in temperatures across the state. With rainfall chances negligible, residents are expected to experience intense heat, hot winds, and growing discomfort, especially during afternoon hours.
While early mornings may feel slightly cool in some areas, the heat will intensify rapidly after noon. By mid-February, winter conditions are expected to fade, making way for summer-like weather across most districts.
Maharashtra Weather Forecast: Temperatures to Touch 36°C
On February 11, the weather across Maharashtra will remain largely dry and hot. Maximum temperatures across the state are likely to range between 30°C and 36°C, while minimum temperatures will stay between 17°C and 25°C.
Konkan Region: Hot and Humid Conditions
Districts including Mumbai, Thane, Raigad, Ratnagiri, and Sindhudurg will experience hot and humid weather.
- Maximum temperature: 32°C to 35°C
- Minimum temperature: 23°C to 25°C
In Mumbai, temperatures at Santacruz may reach 34–35°C, while Colaba is expected to record 32–33°C. Partly cloudy skies or light haze may be observed.
Western Maharashtra: Rising Heat and Dusty Conditions
Areas such as Pune, Satara, Sangli, Kolhapur, and Solapur will witness a steady rise in daytime temperatures.

Pune is likely to record 33–34°C, while Solapur may touch 35°C. Dry weather could lead to increased dust levels. Farmers are advised to plan irrigation carefully for rabi crops.
North Maharashtra (Khandesh): Hot Afternoons, Cool Mornings
In Nashik, Dhule, Jalgaon, and Nandurbar, a noticeable temperature increase is expected.

Hot winds will prevail during the afternoon, while mornings may still feel cool. Bright sunshine is expected with minimal cloud cover.
Marathwada Region: Dry and Extremely Warm
Districts including Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar, Jalna, Beed, Latur, Dharashiv, Parbhani, and Nanded will experience dry and hot weather.

- Minimum temperature: 18°C to 21°C
Heat stress may increase, and water scarcity for agriculture could become a concern.
Vidarbha: Heatwave-Like Conditions
Regions such as Nagpur, Amravati, Akola, Yavatmal, Chandrapur, Gadchiroli, and Buldhana are expected to record the highest temperatures in the state.

- Minimum temperature: 18°C to 22°C
In Amravati and Akola, temperatures may cross 35°C. While mornings remain mildly cool, severe heat will dominate afternoons.
