In Mumbai and Maharashtra, the weather agency IMD says it’s going to get hotter from April to June. Mumbai will see temperatures rise in the next five days, and some parts of Maharashtra may get rain this Friday.

For Mumbai, expect clear skies with temperatures around 35°C during the day and 24-25°C at night for the next couple of days. The IMD says the temperature might go up by 1-2 degrees in Mumbai, but it won’t be a severe heatwave. They’ll let us know if it gets dangerous.

Certain areas in Maharashtra, like Solapur and Nanded, are on yellow alert because of the heat. Some places might even have heatwaves. Also, there might be thunderstorms in those areas.

Some relief is expected with light rain in parts of Maharashtra on Friday. IMD predicts more hot days than usual for South, Central, and East India till June. In Maharashtra, expect temperatures to rise by 1-2 degrees with heatwaves for a few days.

The expert further stated, “From April to June, Maharashtra is expected to experience a rise in temperature by 1-2 degrees Celsius, with heatwaves anticipated for 3 to 4 days, including in Central Maharashtra and Vidarbha.” “We urge citizens to take basic precautions during the summer season, avoid going out between 12 pm to 4 pm if not necessary, stay hydrated, wear suitable clothing, and seek medical attention promptly if feeling unwell due to heat or heatstroke,”

IMD advises precautions during hot weather: stay hydrated, avoid going out in the hottest hours, and seek medical help if feeling unwell due to the heat. Elderly, children, and those with health issues are at higher risk. Authorities need to be ready with cooling centers and heat advisories to protect everyone from heat-related illnesses.
