Heavy Traffic Slows Down Movement on Mumbai–Pune Expressway Ghat Section

Traffic movement was severely slowed on the Ghat section of the Mumbai–Pune Expressway around 10.30 am today, with a long line of heavy vehicles including trucks and containers causing congestion.
Motorists reported very slow-moving traffic as vehicles struggled to navigate the incline, leading to delays for those travelling towards Pune. Reports suggest it rained heavily on way to Mumbai from Pune on expressway
Local traffic police were present at the site and actively managing the situation to ensure smoother vehicular movement. While no accidents or blockages have been reported so far, the heavy load of goods carriers appears to be the primary reason for the slowdown. Commuters have been advised to remain patient and drive cautiously through the stretch.
