Hotel waiter places mobile phone in toilet to shoot objectionable videos of visitors
PUNE: A shocking incident has been reported at a hotel in Akurdi, where a waiter has been accused of secretly placing a mobile phone inside the hotel’s restroom to capture inappropriate videos of customers.
The incident came to light when a man discovered the phone, wrapped in paper, while using the restroom.
The accused hotel waiter has been identified as Iranna Shivanna. As per the information received, the plaintiff, who had visited the Geeta Pav Bhaji hotel in Akurdi with colleagues, was appalled by the discovery.
The complaint alleges that the mobile phone was deliberately placed there to record objectionable videos of hotel visitors.
While speaking to Pune Pulse, Tejaswini Kadam, Senior Police Inspector, Nigdi, stated that an FIR has been registered against the individual under section 66 (e) of the Information Technology Act. As of now, two videos have been found, and the suspect was produced in court. Further investigation is underway in this case.’
