Yogi Adityanath, the chief minister of Uttar Pradesh, stated on Saturday that Hyderabad will become “Bhagyanagar” if the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) wins Telangana.

As per further information, Yogi brought up the topic of the Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) government’s 4% Muslim reservation in the state, calling it “unconstitutional.” On November 30, Telangana, the newest state in India, will hold a single-phase assembly election. On December 3, there will be a vote count.

Yogi stated that Hyderabad was established by the Congress. The BRS government in this place forbids celebrating September 17, which is something that would occur if the BJP were to win power. They have come to create Bhagyanagar.

The Nizam-ruled princely state of Hyderabad formally joined the Indian Union on September 17, 1948. Prime Minister Narendra Modi caused a stir when he referred to Hyderabad as “Bhagyanagar” in 2022.

Yogi brought up the Telangana name change issue for the second time. He brought up the matter for the first time in 2020 when he was there to campaign for the municipal elections. He had previously declared that Hyderabad ought to be renamed “Bhagyanagar” in honor of the goddess “Bhagyalaxmi,” in honor of whom a sizable temple is currently located there.
