The Ideathon 2024, held on Saturday, September 7th, was a remarkable event that saw young minds presenting thoughtful and innovative solutions for improving their communities. Conceptualized and executed by Anuradha Brahmankar with the support of Nandini Yadav from Ganga Skies, the event featured participants aged 10-18 who showcased their creative potential.

The participants—Ahona Baidya, Ridhima Joshi, Arnav Yadav, Arush Rana, Almitra Sarode, Shravani Yadav, Nitya Srivastav, Parineeta Rana, Ayushi Jaganade, Anaya Agarwal, Aarchisha Modak, Aaradhya Salunke, Nimesh Laware, Yash Panse, Ayushmann Arora, and Om Bhosale—demonstrated a range of ideas for societal improvement.

Some of the standout projects included creating a multipurpose turf for various sports and activities, developing an efficient garbage management system, utilizing the recreation room more effectively, and building a clubhouse terrace for community gatherings. Each group presented detailed plans covering the problem statement, potential solutions, costs, and timeframes for implementation.

The event’s judges were distinguished professionals:

Kapil Singhal, an accomplished entrepreneur with 22 years of experience and the Managing Director of Skypactec Machines.

Ratnadeep Ekatpure, a mechanical engineering graduate with further studies in business administration and over 18 years of experience in the automobile industry.

Eshika De Patikar, a final-year Bachelors of Dental Surgery student from Dr. DY Patil Dental College and Hospital, involved in research, copyright, and patent work.

The essence of the Ideathon lay in the participants’ ability to think critically about community development and present practical solutions. Their innovative ideas emphasized resource utilization, environmental care, and community bonding, showcasing not only their creativity but also their growing awareness of societal needs.

The event fostered skills in teamwork, public speaking, and problem-solving, helping to shape future leaders. The judges praised the young participants for their practical and visionary ideas, leaving everyone inspired by the passion and ingenuity on display.
