Implement amnesty scheme for property holders; appeals Pramod Bhangire

In a letter written to the Pune Municipal Corporation Commissioner Vikram Kumar by former corporator and city president for Shivsena (Eknath Shinde faction) Pramod Bhangire has appealed to the civic body chief to introduce amnesty scheme for property holders residing in PMC jurisdiction.  

Bhangire said, “The property holders are finding it difficult to pay the property tax. The pending dues are charged at 24 percent annually which is impossible for the property holders to pay. PMC should introduce the amnesty scheme wherein property holders are given 80 percent off on the compound interest. This will also bring revenue to the civic body.”

Bhangire further said that Vikram Kumar has assured to write to the Chief Minister Eknath Shinde.
