Income tax raids premises of prominent Pune personalities

Amid the political turmoil in Maharashtra on Thursday morning,the Income Tax department officials raided some premises related to prominent persons in the Pune and Pimpri Chinchwad area.

It was said that IT raids in Pune were conducted in Sindh Society and in the Pimpri Chinchwad area of the city and other parts of the Pune city. However there was no confirmation about the same from the Income Tax department.

Sources in the Income Tax Department stated that an investigation into financial transactions and tax evasion of these companies have been started, and scrutiny of many documents and files have been going on. The official also informed that around four to five  teams of the Income Tax Department are working at different places in Pune and Pimpri Chinchwad.
