India International Electronic Vehicle Show to be held on December 1 in Chinchwad

The inauguration of third India International Electronic Vehicle Show will be done by Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar at 10 am. 

This event is anticipated to be the biggest in India and will take place at Auto Cluster Exhibition Centre, Pimpri-Chinchwad from December 1 to 3.

The IIEV event in Chinchwad will be a remarkable display of cutting-edge concepts, environmentally friendly transportation options, and forward-thinking endeavors within the rapidly expanding electric vehicle industry. As per the information provided, with over 200 exhibitors from across India and a staggering 20,000 visitors from around the globe, IIEV 2023 is set to be one of the most significant gatherings in the automotive sector. The exhibition will witness the participation of over 7000 sellers, distributors, and authorized licensees, showcasing a wide range of more than 3000 products and services. Additionally, the event will witness the launch of more than 30 new products. Through these extensive initiatives, IIEV is set to establish itself as the centre of innovation. India’s ambition to spearhead the global electric vehicle sector by 2030 is a testament to its commitment towards a sustainable future.

India’s electric vehicle market has expanded beyond its previous limitations and is now flourishing, capturing the attention of the nation. Presently, there are approximately 2.8 million electric vehicles being utilized in India, indicating a promising future for this industry. The projected compound annual growth rate (CAGR) of 94.4 percent by 2030 signifies the increasing popularity of electric vehicles, highlighting India’s dedication to sustainable development.

During the previous fiscal year (2022-23), there has been a remarkable surge of over 200 percent in the registration of electric vehicles. In the year 2021-22 alone, a total of 8,668 vehicles were registered. Pune, a prominent hub for vehicle manufacturing, stands at the forefront of pioneering research, innovation, and production in the field of electric vehicles.

 The city’s exceptional capabilities in production, research, and development have served as a driving force behind the expansion of the electric vehicle market, making it an ideal location to host the International Electric Vehicle Expo (IIEV).
