Indian Army Microlight Flying Expedition ‘NATEX K2K 2023 Flagged Off On Nov 28
The Indian Army Microlight flying Expedition ‘NATEX K2K 2023 was ‘Flagged Off’ by Army Cdr Northern Comd on 28 November 2023.
This expedition has been organised under the aegis of Army Adventure Wing to Commemorate the Silver Jubilee of Kargil Vijay Diwas & Centenary of the Bombay Sappers War Memorial in honour of our brave soldiers who laid down their lives in service of the Nation, as also to spread the spirit of adventure in the Indian Army and the youth of the Nation.

NATIONAL INDIAN ARMY MICROLIGHT FLYING EXPEDITION FROM KASHMIR TO KANYAKUMARI AS PART OF ‘NATEX K2K 2023-24’ TO COMMEMORATE KARGIL VIJAY RAJAT JAYANTI MAHOTSAV AND THE CENTENARY OF BOMBAY SAPPERS WAR MEMORIAL BY ARMY ADVENTURE WING (ARMY ADVENTURE NODAL CENTRE (MICROLIGHT & PHG), MCTE, MHOW AND BEG & CENTRE, PUNE
The expedition will involve long distance cross-country formation flying with four Microlight Aircraft (two Fixed Wing aircraft and two Powered Hang Gliders). Eleven Officers including three women officers, four JCOs and 35 Soldiers are participating in this expedition. During the expedition, the team will be conducting large scale airshows at six locations enroute to include Udhampur, Jammu, Pune, Goa, Kochi and Ramnathpuram.
The motto of expedition is “पर्वत से सागर तिरंगा”. The team will proudly carry the National Flag along the Indian Army Flag and other banners, in the sky from Kashmir to Kanyakumari, spreading the spirit of adventure, courage, camaraderie and team work.
