Janmashtami Celebrations Held At Geeta Ashram In Pune

The Geeta Ashram Foundation ,which is also a spiritual center for seekers, celebrated Shri Krishna Janmashtami with great enthusiasm in Khadki, Pune, on Monday 26th August 2024 . The Geeta Ashram Foundation was established in 1998 by some of the followers of Guruji Shri Padmanabhan Krishnadasa. Following the ancient and rich spiritual heritage of India, the organization is dedicated to serving the community and spreading the message of “Naraseva Narayana Seva.”

For Janmashtami, the ashram was beautifully decorated, and a grand celebration took place with elaborate rituals, devotional music(Bhajans) , and special prayers dedicated to Lord Krishna. Chanting of Vishnusahasranamam was done which was followed by Spiritual Discourse.Devotees present at the event received special blessings. A large number of devotees gathered for Guruji’s worship, darshan, and prasad at the Pimpri location of the ashram.

On the occasion of Janmashtami, the ashram’s YouTube channel, released new devotional song “Radhe Govinda” dedicated to Lord Krishna.It is made available on all major music platforms. 

The ashram offers spiritual teachings and discourses on the principles found in the Vedas, Bhagavad Gita, and other spiritual scriptures. Throughout the year, the organization hosts various activities, including pujas, religious festivals, bhajans, yoga, pranayama classes, and spiritual guidance in fields like astrology. They are also committed to promoting the Sanskrit language and run the Gurukul Sanskrit Academy, where students from various regions and age groups learn Sanskrit.
