Mumbai, January 24, 2026: Amid rising complaints over delays and technical problems, the Maharashtra government has announced a dedicated helpline to address issues related to the e-KYC process under the Chief Minister’s Maji Ladki Bahin Yojana. The move aims to provide quick assistance to beneficiaries facing difficulties despite completing mandatory verification.

For the past few months, several beneficiaries have reported problems while completing e-KYC for the scheme. In some cases, benefits were temporarily halted due to the selection of incorrect options during the process, while others complained that instalments were not credited even after successful verification. To resolve these concerns, the state government has taken a key decision to streamline grievance redressal.

Women and Child Development Minister Aditi Tatkare said that a dedicated support system has now been put in place. Beneficiaries can call the women’s helpline number 181 to seek assistance regarding e-KYC errors, delayed payments, or any other scheme-related queries.

According to the minister, trained call operators will provide guidance and help resolve complaints over the phone. “All issues and doubts related to the Ladki Bahin Yojana will be addressed through the 181 helpline. Beneficiaries are requested to make use of this facility whenever required,” Tatkare said.

The initiative is expected to offer relief to thousands of women enrolled under the scheme and ensure smoother implementation by resolving verification-related hurdles promptly.
