Lalit Patil Case : Jail counsellor accused of accepting payments

Pune: Yerawada Central Jail counselor Sudhakar Sakharam Ingale  stands accused of accepting monetary transactions from fellow accused Abhishekh Balkawade, as disclosed by police during a court hearing on Wednesday.

Pune’s crime branch apprehended Ingale on Tuesday evening, and he was presented before the Pune court . Judicial Magistrate First Class (JMFC) AC Birajdar, ordered Ingale to remain in police custody until December 1. 

Police officer said , “During our investigation it was found that Ingale  took money from one of the accused in a drug case. To investigate more we demanded police custody.”

Police further informed that Balkawade allegedly  transferred money to the bank account of a relative of Ingale. It was also uncovered that Lalit Patil, connected to Sassoon Hospital, maintained regular communication with Ingale, who was assigned as a counselor at Yerwada jail. Bhooshan Patil was also in contact with Ingale.
