Landslide Occurs at Pasarni Ghat in Mahabaleshwar : Police Clears Traffic

Pune: A landslide was reported in Pasarni Ghat around 4-5 pm on the Wai-Satara Road. Due to this incident, many people experienced delays due to traffic congestion.
According to the provided information, the landslide occurred at Datta Temple in Pasarni Ghat, located in the Wai taluka of Satara district on Wednesday afternoon. The district experienced heavy rainfall since morning, which temporarily ceased in the afternoon. The loose soil on the hill, caused by the continuous rain, has made small stones and soil slippery.
Subsequently, concerted efforts were undertaken to mitigate the landslide, leading to the slow movement of traffic. Presently, the Wai police continue to be present at the site, actively engaged in the clearance of the landslide and ensuring the smooth operation of traffic.
