Every Sunday, loud music keeps playing at night time. We have requested the hotel management several times about it but there was no action. Several complaints have been made to the concerned authorities but to no avail.”

The resident further added, “We have also been informed that the hotel serves liquor in the parking area which was demolished several times by the anti encroachment department of the PMC in the past. The hotel is serving liquor less than 50 meters area from Jamatkhana and a school which is illegal by law, and still no action taken by the authorities.”

Another resident of Neptune Society, Kalyani Nagar, requesting anonymity said, “Every Sunday, loud music keeps playing. Every night, loud noises keep coming from the hotel which disturbs everyone a lot. This has been going on for a long time. We have notified and requested the hotel several times about this but the hotel people don’t listen to us at all.”

The chairperson of Neptune Society, Kalyani Nagar said, “There are issues of loud noises and parking issues. There is a school nearby. Still, alcohol is being served in the hotel. So, is the hotel genuinely following norms and rules to run its services? Our society is famous for senior citizens as nearly 90% of society residents are senior citizens and retired professionals. We, as a committee, are following up on this issue by giving several complaints to the authorities but nothing permanent has happened.”

When contacted by the Flour Works Hotel, the hotel official denied these allegations and stated that the hotel operations are going on within the permissible norms and rules.

Balkrushna Kadam, Police Inspector, Yerawada Police Station said, “We will check the night time loud noises issues with the hotel and if found, we will immediately resolve it.”
