In a recent announcement by Joint District Registrar Class-1 and Collector of Stamps Santosh Hingane, it has been declared that 13 Sub Registrar Offices in Pune City will remain closed on May 6th and 7th. This closure is due to the upcoming election for the Baramati Lok Sabha Constituency on May 7, 2024.

Under the jurisdiction of the office of Joint District Registrar Pune City, Haveli No.-2, 3, 4, 5, 8, 9, 12, 13, and 16 are among those affected. Additionally, secondary registrars in offices 18, 20, 21, and 24 have been appointed as polling officers for the election. As a result, these offices will also remain closed for registration on the specified dates.

However, it’s essential to note that all other offices in the city will continue their operations for the registration of documents.
The decision to close these offices temporarily aligns with the logistical requirements of conducting a smooth and efficient election process.

By assigning secondary registrars as polling officers, the administration aims to facilitate the electoral process while minimizing disruptions to essential services. Residents and stakeholders are advised to plan their visits to the Sub Registrar Offices accordingly, taking into account the closure dates and the continued operation of other offices in the city.

The temporary closure of 13 Sub Registrar Offices in Pune City on May 6th and 7th is a necessary measure in preparation for the upcoming Baramati Lok Sabha Constituency election, ensuring the smooth conduct of democratic processes while maintaining essential services for the public.
