The Election Commission reported that as of 8 pm on Tuesday, the approximate voter turnout in the third phase of the Lok Sabha polls was 61.45%.

Out of all the states and union territories, Maharashtra had the lowest turnout (54.77%), followed by Gujarat and Bihar (56% each). With 75.26% of the vote, Assam had the highest turnout, followed by Goa (74.27%) and West Bengal (73.93%).%).

In 11 of Maharashtra’s 48 Lok Sabha seats, voter turnout was 54.09%. Over 62% of voters cast votes in the state during the first two polling phases. According to data released by the election authorities, the Baramati seat, where two members of the powerful Pawar family were involved in a fierce contest, had the lowest turnout of 47.84%, while the Kolhapur seat had the highest turnout of 63.71%.

Only 4 of the 93 constituencies that went to polls saw an increase in voters in the third phase, continuing the general trend of low turnouts. But there was a drop in the 89 remaining constituencies.
