Chief Minister Eknath Shinde will be holding public rallies in Pune’s Shivajinagar area on Friday to support the Mahayuti candidate.

Nana Bhangire, the city unit president of Shiv Sena, mentioned that Chief Minister Shinde will be visiting the city on Friday to speak at a public rally supporting the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) candidate Siddharth Shirole in the Shivajinagar assembly constituency. The rally is scheduled to take place in Gokhale Nagar.

The BJP aims to attract a significant number of women workers to the rally, leveraging the Ladki Bahin Yojana initiative. In Pune city and district, there are 21 seats, but Shinde’s party has only secured one seat in Purandar, where former minister Vijay Shivtare is running for election.

Interestingly, despite Shinde’s party winning just one seat in the district, Ajit Pawar’s Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) has put forward a candidate in Purandar to compete against the Mahayuti candidate. Sambhaji Zende, a supporter of Ajit Pawar, has submitted his nomination for Purandar.
