Maharashtra Floods : 22 member NDRF team deployed in Sangli

Sangli, Jul 22 : With the water level of Krishna river rising rapidly due to incessant heavy rainfall in the district for last two days, the district administration on Saturday deployed a team of National Disaster Rescue Force (NDRF) at the Krishna river to render help to the locals in case of floods.

Fire officer of the Sangli – Miraj – Kupwad Corporation (SMKMC) Sunil Mali said that a 22-member NDRF team was deployed along the banks of the Krishna river this afternoon to meet flood-like situation in the district, as a precautionary measure. The team, which arrived here with five life boats, surveyed the riverbed, he added.
