Shirdi was left in shock after a brutal double murder early Monday morning (February 3), where two young employees of the Sai Sansthan were fatally stabbed at separate locations within an hour. A third individual was critically injured in these attacks. The victims, Subhash Sahebrao Ghode and Nitin Krishna Shejul, were on their way to work when they were attacked. Another young man, Krishna Deherkar, sustained severe injuries and is currently receiving medical treatment.

The victims’ families have accused the police of delayed response despite being informed early in the morning. They also expressed outrage over reports that the murders were being dismissed as accidents. This has further heightened tensions in Shirdi, creating an atmosphere of fear and anger among residents.

The attacks occurred at three different spots in Shirdi. Ghode, a resident of Karadoba Nagar Chowk, and Shejul were attacked while reporting for their duties. Deherkar was assaulted in the Shrikrishna Nagar area. The attackers remain unidentified, and police have launched an investigation but are yet to determine a motive.

Families of the deceased claim the police arrived hours after the incident despite being notified immediately. While the authorities insist they responded promptly upon receiving information, the delay accusations have intensified the community’s frustration.
