Pune: The Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) has once again issued a weather alert for Maharashtra, warning of thunderstorms and moderate rainfall over the next few days. According to the Colaba Weather Observatory, rainfall activity is likely to continue across the state until November 7, with thunderstorms accompanied by lightning and gusty winds expected in parts of Konkan and Central Maharashtra.

For November 5, the IMD has issued a Yellow Alert for five districts, cautioning residents of possible thunderstorms.

In Mumbai and surrounding suburbs, the sky is expected to remain partly cloudy, with light to moderate showers likely at intervals. The maximum temperature in the city is forecasted to be around 33°C, while the minimum temperature may hover near 24°C. The Ratnagiri district has been placed under a Yellow Alert for November 5, while both Ratnagiri and Sindhudurg districts will remain on alert for November 6.

In Western Maharashtra, Satara, Sangli, Solapur, and Kolhapur have been issued a Yellow Alert for November 5, excluding Pune. These regions are expected to experience thunderstorms and moderate rainfall.

In North Maharashtra, Ahmednagar is likely to receive light rain over the next two to three days, while Nandurbar, Dhule, Nashik, and Jalgaon may witness scattered rainfall.

Marathwada is also expected to see rainfall activity, with Nanded, Latur, and Dharashiv likely to experience light to moderate showers, and Parbhani, Beed, Hingoli, Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar, and Jalna seeing isolated rain in some areas.

Meanwhile, Vidarbha is expected to remain dry, with no rain warning issued for any district in the region.

Despite the onset of November, rainfall continues to affect several parts of Maharashtra. The IMD predicts light to moderate showers until November 7, after which winter conditions are expected to intensify across the state.
