Some parts of the state have been witnessing unseasonal rain for the past few days. However, rain is expected in very few districts today as compared to last week. Thunderstorms with isolated thundershowers, gusty wind (speed 30-40 kmph), and light to moderate rain are expected in some districts of Vidarbha today.

Rain is expected to occur in the following five districts today:

Bhandara, Chandrapur, Gadchiroli, Gondia, Nagpur. A yellow alert has been issued for all these districts as rain accompanied by gale-force winds and lightning is expected. 

However, in other districts of the state, citizens will face heat waves and drought today. A severe heat wave warning has also been issued for some places. Citizens of the following districts will have to face severe heat waves: Dhule, Jalgaon, Akola, Amravati. These districts have been issued a yellow alert by the Meteorological Department.

Mumbai: The city and suburbs will remain partly cloudy in the morning and mostly clear by afternoon/evening. The maximum and minimum temperatures here will be around 34°C and 29°C respectively.

Pune: The city is likely to experience unseasonal rain again on May 25. The weather department has also predicted that unseasonal rain may occur on May 28, 29, and 30.
