Pune: A fine of Rs 33 Lakh and show-cause notices have been sent to 370 projects for failing to print the MahaRERA registration numbers and QR codes.

As per further information, of these, the regions of Mumbai (173), Pune (162), and Nagpur (35) make up the next three.

According to MahaRERA officials, developers of these projects were fined ranging from Rs 10,000 to Rs 50,000 after they were given show-cause notices and a hearing by the MahaRERA. Developers have already paid MahaRERA Rs 22 Lakh.

MahaRERA required developers to place QR codes on their advertisements starting on August 1 of this year, or else they risk paying a fine of up to Rs 50,000.

According to officials, they have made a plea to the public to refrain from funding projects that are advertised without project registration numbers or QR codes. Developers have been called upon to provide citizens with comprehensive information.
