Man pushes friend to death in Wadgaon Sheri. Check details

Pune:  Following a fight with his friend, a 35-year-old employee of a grocery store fell from the terrace of a third-floor apartment at Sanjay Gandhi Society in Wadgaon Sheri around Sunday midnight and died due to a severe head injury.

As per the information, they were living in a rented apartment on the third floor. The deceased was identified by the Chandan Nagar police as Baiju Laxmi Mandal, and the accused identified as Shambhu Ram, his friend, was taken into custody for murder.

As per the police officials, a mutual friend of the accused testified which led to the arrest of the accused. 

As per the information, Ram and Mandal got into a fight while their families were out having fun on the terrace. Before the other members could respond, Ram allegedly shoved Mandal off the terrace railings as the two began pushing each other following the altercation. The victim fell off the terrace and suffered a serious head injury. He was rushed to Yerwada private hospital where the medical staff immediately pronounced him dead.

It is worthy to note that both the accused and the victim were natives of West Bengal and relocated to Pune around four years ago. They lived in different apartments in the same building. Shambhu Ram was a cook in a restaurant while Baiju Laxmi Mandal was an employee at a grocery store. 

Police are further investigating the case.
