Massive Fire Breaks Out At Cloth Godown at Yeolewadi in Pune

A Godown located in Kondhwa Budruk, Yeolewadi in Pune storing furnishing materials and clothes caught fire today morning. Eight fire tenders and seven water tankers are extinguishing the fire. The cause of the fire is not known yet. The fire broke out at a godown owned by Shah Deepchand Dharamchand located in Yeolewadi. The fire personnel from Pune Fire Brigade are working at the site to douse the fire.

“The fabric material caught fire today morning at the Deepchand Dharamchand Shah,, a fabric company’s godown located in Yeolewadi. The residents from the nearby area have been shifted to a safer location. Personnel from Kondhwa Police station, inspector and other staff are present at the site. Fire brigade’s nine fire tenders are extinguishing the fire,” informed Senior Police inspector Santosh Sonawane, Kondhwa Police station.

Fire tenders from Pune Metropolitan Region Development Authority (PMRDA) have also reached the spot and are extinguishing the fire. The incident took place today morning. Further updates awaited.
