Road from Eklavya College at Kothrud to Pune-Bangalore highway under Missing Link will be started soon. This is a 15 meter wide road under the Municipal Development Plan and only 100 meter road is not occupied in the last stage. Therefore, a journey of about two kilometers and 25 to 30 minutes by detouring to Paud Road and Mahatma Society will now be done in just five minutes.

Out of the 33 missing links that the PMC has focused on, the work of one more missing link will be started and an important road will be available for the motorists, informed official of the road department of the PMC.

Vehicles have to use Mahatma Society or Paud Road to reach Warje and Chandani Chowk from Kothrud and Karve Putala. In addition, since the Mahatma Society Road is short and there is a traffic jam on Paud Road, the Municipal Corporation has developed a DP road from Ashish Garden to Eklavya Mahavidya a few years ago.

So, another 400 meters was proposed to reach the highway from in front of Eklavya College. About 300 meters of road work has been done from the highway. The road of 100 meters in the last phase was closed due to lack of space. Therefore, efforts are being made to take over this road under the ‘Missing Link’ project from the Municipal Corporation.

According to this, possession has been obtained from the land owners and the work of developing the road of about 100 meters length and 15 meters width which was stopped will be started in a day or two and it will be possible to go directly to the highway from Eklavya College.
