MSRTC to run 100 E – Shivai buses on Pune-Mumbai route

Commuters traveling between Pune and Mumbai will now have a more convenient, noiseless, and eco-friendly option, with the launch of the new-look E-Shivai buses. These buses offer a range of benefits, including a AC & noiseless and pollution free ride.

“In the next two months, 150 electric buses will be added to the fleet through the Union Government’s Fame-2 programme with Central Subsidy; the new routes to be launched are Thane-Pune, Dadar-Pune, Borivali-Pune, Nashik-Pune (Shivajinagar), Aurangabad-Pune, and Kolhapur-Pune (Swargate). The buses will have a fresh appearance to signify that they are e-buses,” said Ramakant Gaikwad, MSRTC Pune divisional controller.

These buses will also have low fares. The proposed fare for the bus would be Rs 350. There has been no official confirmation yet on the fares.
