Pune: The supply of the popular ‘Rail Neer’ water bottles of Indian Railway will be suspended for a week from October 16 to October 22 at many Mumbai railway stations following a technical issue in manufacturing.

Speaking to Pune Pulse, Dr Shivraj Manaspure, Chief PRO, Central Railways said, “There is a technical issue in the manufacturing of the Rail Neer brand water bottles. Hence, the water bottles of Rail Neer will not be available from October 16 to October 22, 2023, at Mumbai Railway Stations.”

Dr Manaspure informed that the selling of the Rail Neer water bottles will be suspended for one week at Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus to Kasara/Karjat Station, CSMT to Panvel Station, Thane to Panvel Station and Churchgate to Virar Station.

As the supply of Rail Neer has been suspended for a week, bottled water from 9 other brands namely Sunrich, Gallan, Oxymore, Rococo, Health Plus, Nimbus, Oxyblue, Elvish and Eionita has been allowed to be sold to train passengers.

The water quality of these companies is the same as that of Rail Neer. Also, the price of the water bottles will be the same Rs 15 which is the same as the price of a Rail Neer water bottle. Therefore, until the supply of Rail Neer resumes, passengers can purchase water of the mentioned brands in Mumbai.
