An eight-year-old student, tragically passed away on Friday after collapsing during playtime at his school in Kandivali East. The incident occurred around 3 pm when the boy, a Class III student, suddenly fell while jumping during playtime.
Eyewitnesses revealed that school staff immediately rushed him to nearby hospital, where his condition was declared critical. He was later shifted to another hospital in Kandivali, where doctors pronounced him dead.
The Samata Nagar Police have registered a case of accidental death and are investigating the circumstances surrounding his demise. “We are reviewing CCTV footage and speaking to witnesses to piece together the events leading to his sudden collapse,” said a police official.
