PUNE: On Saturday evening, a New Delhi-bound Air India flight was delayed due to a last-minute technical issue at the airport in Chennai.

As per the information received, the airline quickly put up alternative plans to accommodate the waiting passengers.

According to Air India, the airline’s persistent commitment to placing a priority on passenger and crew safety led to the temporary grounding of the aircraft for in-depth engineering evaluations.

On the evening, the flight set to depart at 9 p.m., approximately with 166 passengers were comfortably accommodated. The official continued, “These passengers were offered the option of hotel accommodations during their interim stay, as well as meals and refreshments.”

However, sources claim that 64 passengers decided to depart the airport because of the prolonged nature of the delay.
