Pune: The Pimpri Chinchwad Municipal Commissioner (PCMC) has approved the construction of an Industrial Training Institute (ITI) and Skill Development Center near the Mother Teresa flyover in Chinchwad.
MLA Mahesh Landage on his X handle had shared the information today appreciating that the center will benefit many students.
As per information, a letter requesting the creation of a Skill India International Center in Pimpri-Chinchwad was sent earlier this year to Dharmendra Pradhan, Minister of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship. The individual drew attention to the fact that Pune and Pimpri-Chinchwad have the largest concentration of colleges in the nation and a sizable youth population. As a result, it is essential to give young people access to high-quality skill development programs and international employment opportunities.
Shekhar Singh, PCMC Commissioner has granted permission for an Industrial Training Institute (ITI) and Skill Development Center to be built on six acres of land in Chinchwad, close to the Mother Teresa flyover, in response to the demand. This campus will be developed by the PCMC in the manner of the central government’s Skill India International Center.
The youth should be able to learn cutting-edge technologies like blockchain, artificial intelligence (AI), machine learning, data science, cloud computing, cybersecurity, ERP, and big data through this new center.
