Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister and Guardian Minister of Pune district Ajit Pawar directed that world-class facilities should be provided to flyers at the new terminal of Pune Airport, considering the increasing number of people traveling by air.

Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar inspected the new terminal at Pune Airport and its facilities. On this occasion, MLA Sunil Tingre, Divisional Commissioner Chandrakant Pulkundwar, Pune Municipal Corporation Commissioner Vikram Kumar, Collector Suhas Diwase, Airport Authority of India General Manager PK Datta, Pune Airport Director Santosh Dhoke and senior officers of the concerned departments were present.

Ajit Pawar said that the new airport terminal will add to the glory of Pune. A large number of travelers from all over the country come to Pune. This new terminal will increase the number of passengers and flights and make their journey comfortable and convenient. This terminal, which is full of modern facilities, will increase the air travel capacity. Domestic and international flights from Pune have been greatly facilitated by this terminal and the increasing number of passengers in the future has been considered.

The new terminal will increase passengers as well as business facilities. At this time, Ajit Pawar gave suggestions that attractive indoor plants should be planted in the airport area, information about important heritage sites in Maharashtra and Pune should be displayed in English along with Marathi, cleanliness should be given priority. He inspected and inquired about the aerobridge, aircraft parking, private aircraft parking, check in counter, VIP lounge, baggage handling and other facilities.

Pune Airport Director Santosh Dhoke gave information about the facilities provided for passengers such as arrival-departure system, vehicle parking, baggage handling system, lounge etc and facilities to be carried out in the future as well as the renovation of the current airport terminal.
