New Pune Metro Stations Could Be Launched from August 1

The proposed Pune Metro stations between Phugewadi to Civil Court & Garware College to Ruby Hall clinic may be soon launched on 1st August 2023.

Speaking to Pune Pulse, Dr Hemant Sonawane, Executive Director, Public Relations and Administration, Pune Metro, said “Technical approval from CMRS is expected soon, after approval the new Pune Metro Corridor from Phugewadi to Civil Court and Garware College to Ruby Hall Clinic can be inaugurated on August 1 during an event where Prime Minister Narendra Modi could be visiting Pune.”

As per information from the Technical Advisor to Mahesh Landage, MLA, Bhosari Constituency, the cabinet approvals are pending for these new metro stations. Also, along with these 2 stations, all the planning is ready for the stations of PCMC to Nigdi as well as Swargate to Katraj. Once the approval for these is given too, the announcement for these stations could be made as well on the same day.

The expansion of these stations, Phugewadi to Civil Court & Garware College to Ruby Hall clinic, is set to make travel more advantageous for residents of Pune, interfacing significant areas like Wadia College, Jehangir Hospital & many more. The passerby extension of Pune rail line station will likewise be associated with the concourse floor of the metro, giving simple entry to rail and metro travellers.
