NGO’s from Kondhwa help flood survivors

As Maharashtra battles the worst flood in its recent history, many NGO’s have come forward to lend their support to ensuring supply of food grains, other relief items to the worst flood affected areas of the state.

Members of Hind Social Foundation, Hill Mist Group and Kausarbaugh Social Foundation have together created a center where residents of Kondhwa, Kausarbaugh, NIBM road, Salunke Vihar road can send the required materials at the Exit Gate of Hill Mist Garden society in Kausarbaugh, Kondhwa between 10 AM to 11 PM.

Zahir Shaikh from Hind Social Foundation told Pune Pulse that a lot of people approached us to help people affected due to the floods in various areas such as Kolhapur, Chiplun, Khed, Satara, Sangli. People can donate : Dry Snacks / Sweets, Food Grains, Clothes, Buckets, Mug, Blanket, Bedsheets, Tadpatri (Tarpaulin sheets), Candles, Utensils, Match box, medicines, torch and others. We are not accepting cash at all.”
