NHAI to open a section of 42 km On Mumbai-Goa Highway before Ganeshotsav

Pune: Ganeshotsav is approaching in the next few days. A large number of people go to Konkan for Ganeshotsav. In this background, the National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) aims to open the 42 km section of the Mumbai-Goa route to make their journey smooth and quick. One side lane from Panvel to Kasu in the Raigad district will be opened soon in the coming days. At present, cementing work on the bituminous road is going on.

As per information, the construction of a 555 km long highway to connect Mumbai and Goa is in progress. 460 km of work on this road will be done up to Patradevi in Sindhudurg district. NHAI is constructing an 84 km highway from Panvel to Indapur in the Raigad district. This work will be completed in two phases. In the first phase, the 42 km stretch from Panvel to Kasu will be completed. In the second phase, the remaining 42 km long road from Kasu to Indapur will be constructed.

A lane from Panvel to Kasu will soon be opened for those going to Konkan for Ganpati. The order for this work has been given to JM Mhatre Infra Private Limited. As much as Rs. 151 crore has been paid for this work. While Kalyan Toll Infra has been awarded Phase II work in November 2022.
