The PMPML administration has decided to file a case against those putting up unauthorized advertisements.

Pune: Pune Mahanagar Parivahan Mahamandal Ltd (PMPML) bus service administration has directed people to take permission before putting up advertisements on bus shelters and buses.

PMPML shared a post through its official account, that stated, “Bus shelters that have been installed for the convenience of commuters by PMPML are being vandalised by putting up birthday placards, political signs and handouts which are unlawfully displayed on these bus shelters. As a result of these unauthorised ads, the passengers are unable to read the bus route and timetable information provided at the bus stops for their convenience. It is causing a nuisance to the passengers. PMPML urges people to refrain from posting these sorts of ads on bus shelters and buses without first getting approval from PMPML.”

The PMPML administration has decided to file a case against those putting up unauthorized advertisements.

“PMPML gets money from the advertisement and such a tender is being issued every year but others put their illegal hoardings and PMPML doesn’t get any money. These advertisements also cause problems for passengers. Therefore, without taking permission, the advertisements should not be placed or else, PMPML will file a case against the persons concerned,” said Dattatraya Zende, PMPML’s Chief Traffic Manager.
