Ocean Ally Foundation holds clean up drive on Mutha river bank near Bhide bridge - Pune Pulse

Pune: Ocean Ally Foundation, a non-profit organization (NPO) in Pune, conducted a cleanup drive of the Mutha River near Bhide Bridge in Pune.
As per further information shared by Karn Ragade, Founder and CEO, Ocean Ally Foundation, the foundation organized the cleanup drive with the members of a well-known organization called Black & Veatch.
It was done at Bhide Bridge, behind Pune Bus Depot. The Vishrambaug Wada section of the Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC) provided support & cooperation for the drive by collecting the segregated waste for timely disposal.
The drive was conducted on Saturday. It went on for about 1.5 to 2 hours. From 7:45 am, the participants started coming and the cleanup exercise was going on till around 9:30 pm. The cleanup drive was done in a positive effort to keep the water bodies clean.
Around 85 to 90 participants participated in the drive. The majority of the waste found in the river was plastic waste such as various wrappers, plastic food packaging, disposable plates, small flags, tobacco wrappers, cigarette butts, etc were the kind of things which were found.
The Ocean Ally Foundation has appealed to everyone from organizations to people etc to come forward & connect with the foundation for this united cause to make a difference.
