Preparations in Full Swing as Thousands of Devotees Embark on Alandi and Dehu to Pandharpur Yatra.
In the next two days, the much-awaited annual Pandharpur Wari pilgrimage will commence, with lakhs of ardent followers of Lord Vitthala, known as Warkaris, embarking on their spiritual journey from the cities of Alandi and Dehu.
Scheduled for June 11, the departure of Sant Dnyaneshwar Maharaj Palkhi from Alandi and Sant Tukaram Maharaj Palkhi from Dehu on June 10 marks the initiation of this grand pilgrimage. The devout Warkaris will converge in Pandharpur on the sacred day of Ashadhi Ekadashi, precisely on June 29.
This holy undertaking encompasses thousands of devoted Warkaris, who fervently trek to the revered temple town of Pandharpur in the Solapur district. Along the journey, they reverberate the melodious chants of ‘Jai Hari Vitthal’ and ‘Dnyanoba Mauli Tukaram,’ filling the atmosphere with divine fervor and devotion.
