Parking of vehicles within 200 meters of polling stations has been prohibited for the upcoming Pune Vidhan Sabha elections. This restriction, issued by Amol Zende, Deputy Commissioner of Police, Traffic Division, aims to ensure smooth voting and prevent traffic congestion around polling stations.

The order, effective on Wednesday, November 20, from 6 am to 7 pm, prohibits parking within a 200-meter radius of polling stations to facilitate easy access for voters. Alternative parking facilities will be available outside this radius, and motorists are advised to park on one side of the road where designated parking is scarce.

According to the authorities, the primary objective is to prevent obstacles for voters and maintain free-flowing traffic movement around polling stations. By keeping the surrounding area clear, authorities hope to facilitate a hassle-free voting experience.

To avoid any inconvenience, voters are advised to plan their commute accordingly and utilize the designated parking facilities. The restriction is in place to ensure that voters can exercise their right to vote without any hindrances.

By adhering to these guidelines, citizens can contribute to a smooth and successful electoral process. Remember to check your voter information and polling station details before heading out to cast your vote.
