Pavnathadi Jatra gets started
A Pavnathadi Jatra started from Old Sanghvi on December 16th. The jatra has been organised by Pimpri Chinchwad Municipal Corporation.
A total of 400 food stalls have been set up by Mahila Bachat gat group at the PWD grounds. The members of the Mahila Bachat Gat group were excited to be part of the yatra as it was happening after a gap of two years.
PCMC organises this yatra every year to develop the skills of the women folk. These stalls have homemade papad, pickles and varities of food, and also handmade crafts.
This concept is aimed at making the women financially strong and teach them marketing skills as well.
In the municipal budget of this financial year, a provision of one crore ten lakh rupees has been made for the Pavanathadi fair.
